I have posted the final updates on the website for anyone interested. It's been a great ride, and I've really enjoyed having all of you join me in my little adventure. Thanks for all the e-mails and fedback.

Pvt., what are going to do with the left-over Sistema grip safeties? The safety on my buddy's does not have a bevel on the heel, meaning it flows much more nicely into the mainspring housing, when the former is pinned down. Could I talk you into giving up one of them?
Well, I must tell you how much I have enjoyed following your progress. Even though I am not presently inclined to build my own 1911, I have learned a lot from your web site, and would definitely use it as a reference when necessary. Thanks so much for sharing, and nice work, by the way!

Those guns look "professional" to my untrained eyes. The next one should be a breeze!!
