I went to the range today to help set up for Sunday's IDPA match. An SSP Master shooter stop by and wanted to classify in ESP. So I ran him and he made Master on his first try with a stock Glock 34 using a $20 Uncle Mike's Kydex holster. Anybody out there who put down the Uncle Mike, don't laugh at it until you've tried it. It doesn't matter if it's a $20 plastic holster or a $400 sting ray skin, it's the shooter.
After running him, I wanted to try the Glock 34. So he lets me borrow the gun and the Uncle Mike's. I made Expert by 9 seconds. I've been shooting a Glock 19 and came as close as 3 seconds, but I dropped too many shots from the barricade with the little G19. The extra barrel length/sight radius made a whole lot of difference. Now I know why all the cheaters... I mean gamers, like the 34
. BTW, the sights was Heinie Slant Pro rear and Heinie front post narrowed to about 0.11" (I think).
Hey Mikey, look out I'm going for the 4 gun Expert title.

Headhunter, I will switch to the plastic when I make Master in that division, but only in .45ACP.

Mikey, come on you have to keep up. It's going to be a tough task for me in SSR, since I don't even have a round gun. And don't call me that, you're giving away my secret super stealth ninja title. Even Tom Givens knew that now.

As usual you don't pay attention, please reread my post. I said I used a 34. You are banish from the Wednesday night match for one week.
