I'm having a blued 1911 type gun refinished (hard chrome)and was wondering which parts to leave unfinished. I planned to leave the hammer, sear, and disconnect as-is. Would hard chroming those parts change the trigger pull or cause other problems. How about the extractor? I'm for sure not chroming the barrel. To anybody with any suggestions on which parts to leave alone I'd really appreciate the info. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to go ahead and have everything done. The hard coating may actually make the internal parts last longer anyway. If the trigger pull is altered too much I can always just have my smith polish everything back up.
