Ran 300 rds of federal 230 FMJ through my 1911 this weekend and I’m very pleased with a few issues. Had 3 failure to ejects overall. One jam and 2 spent rounds remained in the barrel itself like the extracter missed the cases all together. Also while cleaning I found my front and rear sights where working themselves loose. Tightened the rear no problem but I think the front is a different size Allen which I don’t have and didn’t come with the gun. Shoots an inch or two low but I think that’s me. SF

Update: found out the front sight is a 1.3mm Allen screw. The hex head is stripped. If I stripped it it sure didn’t take much, barely any force. So I called Taurus and after a 15 minute conversation they are sending me a new front sight and two set screws. I figure about two weeks. Hope this helps anyone with the same issue. SF

ran 200 rds today no issues other than the rear sight coming loose. Taurus needs a better design or a set screw that can withstand the forces of operation. Im ready to pick up new sights all together. Not willing to put up with this much longer. If the sights were a non issue I’d be happy as a clam. All I want is to breathe, relax, aim, squeeze, shoot, follow through and hit the target where I’m aiming. Can’t do it with ****ty sights that want to slide around in the dovetail...

Did I read this right? You are very pleased with your gun having issues. Failure to extract/eject and both sights coming loose, and this pleases you. Wow, hey, by the way I have some ocean front property for sale in Arizona if you are interested .

Very pleased I spent 500 bucks. Not pleased I had issues. Very pleased I am smart enough to fix poor workmanship. And yes I had a few failures within the 1st 300 rds . Not one since. Very pleased I can put a round through a fleas ass @30 ft. So please do me a favor and hump someone else’s leg mutt face... preferably on your ocean front property in Arizona.
