I saw a High Power at the local shop. Need some help to ID it. It looks like a MKIII. Black finish, fixed sights. Unfired in the box. Was made in 1989. On the left side has usual Browning markings. On the right side just stamped Made in Belgium. (Nothing about Portugal). Also has a ring attached to the butt of the gun. The finish has a plastic look to it. Any Idea's guys? [email protected]

Hello. I've owned a couple of such versions of the Mk III. Both had only "Made in Belgium" on them and both with the lanyard ring you mention. They are Mk III pistols with the matte finish (which looked sort of like wet paint on the two that I had) and performed like the more common versions of the pistols I've owned.

Best.
