I've been cleaning out my Granddad's stuff and came upon this and others like it. Based on the breathless drooling over them on another forum, I gather these are pretty valuable.

I was quite moved while cleaning up this one; as I looked through the scope, I wondered what unfortunate soul was seen through it and what befell them. I thank our veterans every day for our freedom.

I've been getting a crash-course in WW2 sniper scopes. I didn't even know about a G43 rifle - apologies for my ignorance. Even at that time, my grandfather seemed to know what was "special" - he "borrowed" several of these from the Third Reich (slightly used, of course) along with a few others.
