From that to this

I bought this duel caliber Stealth with the intentions of ridding it of the black parts, bits and pieces.

It required fitting a new trigger, grip safety (taking a Dremel to your Wilson will make you pucker), magwell, slide-release, magazine release and Chen thumb safety.

Since it had a previous magwell blended to the frame, blending the new magwell was pretty challenging but it looks pretty good (and it is the inside of a magwell)

It was worth it.

Looks very nicely done. Real Avid puts out some nice tools, too.

The only real tough part was shaping the new grip-safety to the tangs, luckily the grip safety was fat above and below the GS so I used duck-tape on the tangs and under slow speed with the Dremel and fresh sanding drums hack away enough grip safety material to get close and finished the rest/ and blended with 150 grip sandpaper. I also bobbed the duck bill as far as I could and then shaped and blended it all by handed and finished it with successive finer pads of Scothbrite.

I've always liked the traditional two-tone finish on a 1911 but have never been too keen on the black parts on a stainless/silver frame. Although the gun before was nice, I think it looks so much better after your efforts. Nicely done!
