I should have been more specific, I want a Commander sized gun with ECO features, namely, 4" (or 4.25") bull barrel, lightweight frame, top serrations, ledge sights rather than Novak sights, and a Bobtail with checkering (like the VBob rather than the Guardian). A round butt option is fine, but personally, I would only be interested in the Bobtail.

Assuming ECO stands for Executive Carry Officers, You could call it an ECC for Commander.

Love the idea of a 4' bull barrel gun as well as a full length dust cover. I would like to see more mag well options, and one thing I absolutely hate are the solid triggers. Really wish they would have 3 hole or flat trigger options.

Yes, it seems we have two options, buy a gun with all the features we want (or can live with) or order a custom built model. An option I like to consider is the purchase of the model that is closest to what I want and then send the gun/slide to DW for modification.

Their modification costs are pretty reasonable and by purchasing from a deep discount dealer, such as Buds, you save on the original purchase price. Sometimes that route can yield a financial advantage over ordering direct from the custom shop. YMMV.

I'd second all that, with the addition of having the same thing in 38 Super. In fact, just one pistol with both barrels fitted would be even better!!

Specialist with standard slide stop, 3 dot night sights instead of the straight 8's, and a medium trigger. I doubt that there will be a market for that however, so maybe next year I'll order another gun through the custom shop.

Easier to get the gun back up after a combat reload if you prefer using the slide stop release to recover from lock back. I slingshot the slide after lock back, because that's how work wants us to do it... Our firearms training staff operate under the theory that fine motor skill quickly dissolves in lethal force encounters and the slingshot is more of a gross skill, which can still be done when you have "combat mittens" on.

The extended slide stop is much easier to manipulate than the standard, but also easier to accidentally engage mid-magazine. That's probably rare, but I still chose the standard sized release when I ordered my custom CCO. If I didn't slingshot to return to battery, I'd probably go with the extended release.

I love the CCO but not the scalloped front strap/mainspring housing. I like the valkyre but not the cuts in the end of the slide.. can we get a CCO with 25 lpi checkering and all black small parts, trigger, barrel bushing, hammer, saftey, slide stop, and grip saftey?
