What does "AMT" stand for?

Has anyone have some imput/info on their 1911's or their Backup .45 ACP & .40 S&W?

I had one of the .45 Backups, back in 1994. Didn't like it. Several trips to the factory, several $$ on different mags, and it still had at least one malfunction per magazine.

I have the AMT 380 backup. It is a nice little gun. Good for when you need something extremely concealable. You can find them fairly cheap.

I hate my amt 45 backup. Excellent size, for great concealment in a powerful 45. Have no problems with ftf or fte. VERY hard trigger pull and VERY powerful kick. Might be ok as second gun but not as primary carry gun.
