I want to pick up a shotgun for hunting phesant, quail, etc and would like to puchase 1 shotgun that I can change to use all round and would like the forums feedback on the opinions for the one that may be best for this. Please provide any insight on barrels, chokes as well as specific brands and models. Thanks for your insight and wisdom.

Bought a Legacy Arms Escort Magnum. It hasn't malfunctioned yet, came with three choke tubes, and a seven round tube extension. It's light, durable, attractive and only about $350.

You can see them at Legacy Sports .

Gunski-

I am fairly new to upland game - that said; look at doubles! I am partial to over-unders, but also looked at some older side by sides. I eventually bought a Baikal 20 gauge O/U. I like the option of having two different chokes. I've got a MOD in the first barrel and a full in the second. (the full is for Chukar) I'd run Mod and IC for quail and pheasant. I have shot trap with it and had fairly good results. Oh, it's also really light! I can carry it all day and not ever feel like it weighs too much.

Get those birds!
