Are you talking about .22 pistol or .22 rifle? In either case, I would recommend you start with your state shooting association. Most states have shooting associations and web sites for those associations. Next I would check out the NRA's web site. Look under competitions to find what you are looking for. Find a match that you think you might be interested in and that, hopefully, is close by and go and visit the first time. I'm sure there will be plenty of people there who would be more than willing to give you all the help and advice you can stand. You also might want to check in to any local clubs that may be in your area. Start with the phone books and then do an internet search for local clubs.
