Good place to buy replacement barrels

Howdy,

This is my first post to this great board.

I have recenly purchased a 1927 Sistema from CDNN and overall it is in great shape, except for the barrel. Do you know where I can get a replacement barrel at a reasonable price? Nothing match, just something that has rifling.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Brownell's sells a number of different barrels but some need to be fitted. If you intend to have a gunsmith fit the barrel or do chamber work it might be a good idea to get their input.

I would suggest getting advice from a competent 1911 'smith either here or at your local gun shop. They can stear you in the right direction.

Jedi if you are looking for a good used barrel call Lee's Gun Parts in Irving TX, sorry I dont have the # for you. He as tons of gun parts and will be glad to take care of you, the used barrel other than NM run around $50 or so.

But its it new you want, then go to Brownells for a very good selection.
Thanks for the advice.

I found Lee's site here:

I will try calling this week.
Barrels are generallt "fit" to the bushing. If you are going to buy used, you might do well to also buy the bushing that was "fit" to it.

I am surprised to hear that a CDNN Sistema came with a worn out barrel!!

That only holds true for match barrels. Otherwise the tolerances are loose enough that any mil-spec barrel and bushing will go together.

I guess it didn't occur to me that any one would choose any thing other than a Match Barrel and bushing. I don't have any other kind......except in the New to me Commander that I just bought.
