Hello All. I'm brand new to forums, apart from reading some threads that come up when Google researching some question or other. I'm back into shooting and handloading after several years out of the game. Got a couple of Ruger revolvers, then just had to have a 1911 again. Found a new "old stock" Kimber Eclipse Target II 5" (with the blackened SS slide & frame, not the applied coating). Used to have an Eclipse Pro II (4" bbl., fixed sights), which I loved until I traded it (+ some $) for a Les Baer Thunder Ranch hard-chromed gun. Just love the 1911. Pure genius from Mr. Browning, not convinced that it's ever been "improved" upon. I'll be posting in other areas soon, as I'm seeking feedback and advice on my other gun-related obsession, which is making grips for the 1911. I recently de-mothballed my entire production system for grip-making, and did a first production run to test it out. Seems to be working fine, would love to share some photos soon.
