I like my S&W 1911PD, but because I have large hands and long fingers, I need to find a larger (wider) set of grips so my trigger finger will fall more naturally in the correct position. Do you guys have any suggestions?

You could always get a set of Hogue finger groove grips. I'm not a fan of these as they ruin the nice slim profile, but if you need the girth, this will do it.

You might want to call Pearce Grips and see if they have any Farrar grips on hand. This is a set on my Sistema Colt 1927. Regards, Richard

Another option is to find a custom grip maker to whip up a set of grips to your specifications. There are several members here that make grips and any one of them could probably make you a set as thick as you want and out of the material you want.
