I had a couple of shells get trapped between the lips of a cheapie 7 rnd stainless Mil Spec magazine on ejection. In my CD it happened on the last round and the spent brass was stuck so hard in the lips of the magazine that I couldn't eject the mag. I had to pry the brass out so the lips could spring back together before the magazine would come out of the gun. The second time it happened with the same magazine but in my DW and it was the second to last round. It wasn't stuck as bad, but was still going back into the magazine. I had one other FTE with the CD with the 7 rnd mag that came with the DW, but again it wasn't as bad. The shell was at a slight angle (open end up) caught between the slide face and barrel. I've had other issues with the Mil Spec mag. It tends to let rounds nosedive into the frame's ramp face. It's especially bad when feeding 230 grain JHP's. I have never had an issue with the DW's magazine before (I think it's a Chip McCormick) and so far haven't had any issues with the Novak's that came with the CD. Could there be something to this issue other than just a bad magazine? I'm hoping I didn't mess up my extractor with some Wolf ammo. This was all with Remington JHP.

Hmm... That's odd since the mag that had the problem twice was one with a domed follower. I don't know if that's Mil Spec or not, but it's stainless, says .45 ACP on the bottom and holds seven rounds.

I did neglect to include some specs. Both guns have FLGR's -not sure if that makes any difference here though. The CD does have a 18.5lb recoil spring. I think the standard one was 16lb, but it was about 2" longer than the 18.5lb spring. I'm not sure what the DW recoil spring is. The actual ejector looks different between the two guns, but I think the problem is happening before the shell contacts the ejector.
