Happy Birthday John M. Browning - how will you celebrate?

It won't be long before we celebrate JMB's birthday - Jan. 23, 1855.

I plan on taking a cake to the indoor range/ gunshop where I work part time and hang out frequently.

Customers who have a 1911, or HP will get some.

What will you do to celebrate?

I like your idea. I will still be here in the sandbox... no worries I hear another JMB creation everyday... Ma Deuce! Ma says hi to the local BG just about everyday and it is heard across the FOB and beyond... that good 'ol chug...chug...chug!

If you haven't already, consider sending a letter requesting that a U.S. postage stamp be issued in recognition of the contributions of JMB.

We still have two years until the M1911 centennial, and that would be the perfect time for a stamp to be issued.

In honor of JMB's birthday, I'll wear my 1911 in it's leather holster, while I'm stacking fire wood. Later, I'll check out some reloads, performance and function. After dinner I'll clean it.

I'm thinking carrying something directly JMB related for the day. I'll set aside my usual 38 snubbie and carry my AO 1911.
