As I’ve been “away” throughout most of this year, I thought that perhaps I might find a Happy Thanksgiving wishes thread to add my greetings and best wishes to all Wilson faithful friends. But not finding such a thread, maybe I could start one.

Just to keep the thread somewhat Wilson related, looking at the decisions Bill and his family have made about product development in recent years have proven very astute. And these decisions have helped us to enjoy our past and present Wilson acquisitions all that much more.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

So good to hear from you Chrys! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all my friends here.

Wilson’s addition of the X, SFX, SFT and who knows what new models will be added, have been extremely successful and those additions have certainly added more members to our sub-forum.

As always we look forward to hearing from you as your posts are must reads for many of us.

So great to see you post again! Happy Thanksgiving to you, and all the members here. Bill's addition, as David said, the X family of pistols has been a great decision and very successful. Along with those, the Experior line of pistols is astute as well. I can't wait to see what they are planning for the 50th anniversary edition, I'm already saving for it.

Your posts are always read by several of us, as they tend to be insightful and civil. Looking forward to seeing you post some more as the year winds down (and into the new year).

Great to see you back Chrys'! I hope all is well with you and your Family. Great to have your insight and calm nature back on the 1911 F....

As far as WC products, I am stuck on their 1911's. I have others and 2011's too, but I will only trust my SD needs to the WC 1911's. They have proven very well (and I have many samples of them) that they run flawlessly.

Thank you, Thank you CA…and everyone. As you probably recall, I too am close to the 1911. It’s my choice for all handgun purposes. I’ve come to recognize that many other people are drawn to Wilson’s newer products, separate from or in addition to 1911s. Several years ago, the Wilson family foresaw all of this very clearly, and as one result of their vision, Wilson Combat remains today a thriving, successful firearms builder…better than ever from a business and customer service continuity perspective. And even for a 1911 purist as myself, all of the positive developments at Wilson Combat, ensuring future continuity, provide me with a happy confidence that I can count on Wilson to continue support for my treasured and trusted 1911s.

The Wilson single stack 1911’s always bring a warm feeling in my heart and in the .45 version are at least 95% of my carry choice. I do have an EDCX9 and a small 10 round SFX9. Do I kind of wish that Wilson had stayed a smaller single stack company specializing in .45, 9mm and .38 Super, yes. Would that make any business sense in 2022, no. In my opinion, Bill has done what was needEd to not only stay competitive in today’s market but to keep himself up on top. In doing so he has been very inventive and a little out of the box with the new offerings. All the while maintaining the builds of our beloved single stack 1911’s. An Experior single stack could be in my future.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Good to see you posting @chrysanthemum

It is odd.......my Wilson Combat fun started with their M92 offerings...then the Vickers G19 and rifles in .308 & 6.5 Grendel.

Finally I was able to add a 5" in .38 Super two years after they made the announcement they were dropping the cartridge (still had some barrels on hand).

The latest Wilson Combat I've added is one that many people start with...a CQB in .45.

I went about it backwards.
