I'm aquiring a Colt officer lightweight in a week or so. It has a blued slide. I'd like to give it the Kimber CDP look, two tone, wood grips, etc.. Anyhow, if I were to have the slide hard chromed, would it match a stainless slide release and ambi safety? Or should I just get those hard chromed too?

ScottsGT,
I would get them done at the same time...
it's kind like dye lots on rugs or cloth, different batches come out slightly different. Also, the parts are usually beadblasted and doing everything at the same time will keep the texture or look of the "matt" or "satin" the same. You also might want to fit an extra slide stop and get that done at the same time.

ually the parts are bead blasted
