I've been lurking for about a week now and decided to Join. I'm located in central Florida and Live on a lake here. Since we have a famous old race track here, I'm into cars, have a boat and two Waverunners, not that into fishing yet and look to get back to hunting. Guns are one of my many vices along with watches. I actually co-own a watch forum. If you think guns are expensive don't even start on watches. Guns seem cheap to me compared to some of my watches, watercraft and cars.
Getting back on topic we currently have 22 guns for our home. Some are being moved here as we speak. My wife and I along with friends go to the range nearly every week. I've has guns since I was you for hunting, but never shot a pistol until I was at Officer Candidate School for the USCG. That was a standard service issue 1911. Shortly after that they moved to the Beretta 9mm. Those had issues on boardings in salt water so we were allowed to use our own 9mm. I used an HK VP70Z which was the first polymer gun long before the Glock. I have four 1911 pistols which three of them are in transit here (or will be). While that occurs I have the newest member which is the 9mm Tarus Officer model. In transit are the 45's. Those are a SS Colt Gold Cup, Kimber 1911 TLEII Custom, and a Springfield Emissary with the long barrel and rail. I got back into guns just before we bought the house on the lake a year and a half ago. I've not had any rounds in the 1911's yet, but will start to rectify that soon. It was more important getting my wife into the gun thing including her conceal carry license. Turns out she is a very good shot and now has her own two guns. They are not 1911's. The rest of the collection is rifles of various types and calibers or gauges.
One question for the admins here. Does this forum work on Tapatalk?
