My cousin is needing some cash and wants to sell me a 2.5". 686-3 S&W. It's in great shape. I wouldn't go out and purchase one if not to help him out. What's a good price to pay for it that I can easily get my money back out of it?
Thanks

I'd suggest for a 686 with 2.5" barrel which you wouldn't otherwise buy and want to be certain you can get your money out of... $450 max.

Look at Gunbroker and see what the bids are on this revolver. I would then reduce it by $150 to be safe.

Thanks, I talked to him and I'm getting it for that with a short barrel upper thrown in too. Not sure what brand. I think it's Olympic arms maybe. I guess I need to buy or build a pistol lower now.
