Well I really want to thank everyone for their responces to my question a few weeks ago (hidding guns from the wife).

All of my guns are in the house, and the wife knows and does not really seem to care.

Aparently she did not think I was "joking" and knew they were in the house, but just did not want to know where.

After our talk, I went a picked up a 12 gun safe and bolted it to the floor.

My next mission is to get her to go shooting.

I did ask her in our conversation about a "robbber dropping his gun at her feet during an attempt to rape her", she said she would pick up the gun and throw it out the window. Some people just don't like to change their views

When you start her shooting, don`t put up a man silhouette (sp?)target, instead get a bullseye target for her to shoot at. I`d also start her off on a .22 caliber rifle then work up. Pick the rifle since it`s easy to hit the target and she won`t get frustrated as easily.
Good job on convincing her to allow the guns in the house. Take it easy with her and you may get an enthusiastic convert to our sport.

My wife has basically ignored the guns in my safe, but the other day she came up while I had it open. "MY GOD, THERE ARE A LOT OF GUNS IN THERE!"

No kidding, I have about 60 WW2 and older pistols in my collection, not to mention the modern ones and the rifles!
I haven't heard anything since that, so I guess she just had to have her say...

You guys kill me, my wife is about to become a victim of my first "hiding", I ordered an AR kit and receiver today and she doesn't have a clue, oh, she'll still get her living room carpet, but I get my toy first. Hey racer, we're neighbors.

I worked in Clarks Summit for a couple of years when I worked for Henkles & McCoy doing telephone line construction. It's a very nice area once you get away from town. I don't suppose that you ever been to the North Fourty ( Ha, Ha) When I worked there there was a lineman named Jim if I remember right as this was about 10 years ago. He maybe retired now but he did a lot of hunting and shooting also.

My wife thinks I have 6 pistols. I really have 12. I have 6 plastic gun cases, and I keep 2 guns in each case and stack them in the safe. I now want a shotgun, but couldn't figure out how to get it into the house undetected.

The other day my wife asked out of the blue "Do you still have that old 9mm (Colt MKIV Series 70 9mm)? Yes; why do you ask? In case I want to go shooting; it doesn't hurt her hand"
Now I've got that Deer in headlights look, because I know she's setting me up for something, and I can't see what it is. Since the best defense is a strong offense, I informed her that next year I will be joining a local outdoor shooting club, and I will be buying a shotgun. She asked if I needed a shotgun, and I said I want to participate in shooting matches. She said "shotguns are not very accurate are they?" I said they are OK for shooting matches
I should have my shotgun by my birthday in March 2002, but the hairs on the back of my neck still won't go down
