HERE'S A COUPLE OF PICS -

Just completed these, MY FIRST ATTEMPT @ 1911 GRIP MAKING... [thanks to blindhogg!]
Oak wood, with one coat of Linseed Oil.

It's hard to see, but I relieved the thumb area, to make it easier for me (small hands) to hit the mag release.

Enjoy...

Thank you very much, for the kind words.

I do take pride in ALL my weapons, and most all of the others are factory stock guns. I'm a "inventor wanta-be" and a cheap-skate!!! lol
OR should I say "thrifty" with my pennies, these days!
I like the challenge of (1) seeing if I can figure something out, (2) seeing if I can make that something, & (3) trying not to make myself crazy, by spending WAY TOO much time in doing so...
There have been items that I have attempted, and half way into it... I think, man I could have purchased it for a lot less time & $$ that I have into it. BUT that's 1/2 the fun!

Thanks again... I'm excited, & would like to try some exotic woods, next...
