i recently got my sa loaded parked and now after les than 100 cycles is showing wear on the park of the hood. it cycles well
is it be necessary to fit/file down areas causing wear, in slide? from a function stand point.

from a cosmetic stand point part, I want to tinker and fix, any suggestions?

This wear you described is 100% normal. I would not take a file or anything else to the barrel. The only way to avoid this wear is not to shoot it. But then you'd have a hammer and not a gun. As long as your SA is running fine, let it run.

Enjoy~

Every barrel hood is scratched by firing - even just playing with the pistol and racking the slide will do it. The dark ones, either blued or parkerized show it more than the polished ones, but they all show it.
