I was on the Glock Talk forum and someone recommended this for 1911 owners. I have mostly had Glocks since becoming interested in shooting about 13yrs ago. I purchased by first 1911, SA Emissary, 9mm a few months ago. I think this forum will be a good place to learn more about the gun and the whole 1911 world.

Searched for 1911 information sources.

Found while searching for 1911 forums. Hit the nail on the head.

Was looking for information on M1991A1 Commander and came across your website. I have had 1911s never a 1991.Though it is the same it is different.

A cruel twist of fate. I had never owned a 1911 before coming here.

I re-upped. I retired in 2020, got outta Illinois (thank God) and got a new email. Was a member here for years...

I was looking for information about modifications to my 1911's and realized I wasn't on any 1911 specific forums, which was bizarre seeing as I'm a member of a specific forum for every car I've ever owned, other gun boards, and a bunch of other forums for other interests.

I googled "1911 forums" and picked the one that seemed to be what I was after.

google searches for various 1911 vintage part numbers

staying for the market. Going to try to pick up some stuff for my cmp mixmaster

Well.. This is very concise.. Google is how I found this forum.
To that My name is Josh.. I am a moderate level gun enthusiast and smith. I have always wanted a 1911 and the first and only one I have currently is an ATI FXH Moxie.
I really like this gun. That said, I plan on getting a GI/full style one in 10mm when I can. I really want to try that caliber.

Great to be hear and excited to learn more about the platform.
On another note I may start a thread but I plan on putting a light on this gun am wondering about the TLR-7 from streamlight and thoughts on it or other suggestions for the 1911 5" platform with rail.
