How do you date a RIA GI?

4489 Views 10 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  singlestack2974
I noticed that some people post the date of manufacture for their pistols. How is that determined? I didn't see anything on RIA's web site for serial number/date correlation.

Thanks,

See the little brown envelope with fired case in it.
It should be dated
Dress nice, and be courteous to her father. Getting her home on time is paramount.

Beuford, if you cannot locate the info in the case just call the shop in Nevada with the serial number. They should be able to give you an answer.:)

Gun love?

... You people have been playing with your guns for far too long.... ;)

So, there's no way to DETERMINE THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE (just to be clear...) of a RIA gun via the serial number?

Thanks,

Beuford
Cut it in half and count the rings?

Email the serial number to RIA and they can give you a year and model

I usually make small talk first. Compliment them on their hair then ask them out for coffee or lunch. Never failed for me.
