How do you date a RIA GI?

See the little brown envelope with fired case in it.
It should be dated

Beuford, if you cannot locate the info in the case just call the shop in Nevada with the serial number. They should be able to give you an answer.

So, there's no way to DETERMINE THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE (just to be clear...) of a RIA gun via the serial number?

Cut it in half and count the rings?

Email the serial number to RIA and they can give you a year and model

I usually make small talk first. Compliment them on their hair then ask them out for coffee or lunch. Never failed for me.
