Most suggest you shoot a total of 200 with the load you will carry, the HP.
I would fire 100 white box and make any needed adjustments. Then fire the 200 rounds of HP, but I would not do this at one range session.
Be sure you reserve enough ammo to carry, several magazines, 20 to 50 rounds.
If its a new gun, we recommend 300-500 rds of quality factory ball ammo prior to your first detail cleaning. Lube well. Shoot straight! At that point it should be well broken in and ready for defensive ammo.
