Hey everyone,

How can you visually tell the difference from a series I & Series II? Is it in the serial #, markings, or what? I have a series I Staniless Gold Match i bought around 1999. i keep hearing about people comeing across these in the used cases and wanted to know what's the easiest way to tell the difference.

Thanks for all your help,
Rob

A Series II will be stamped with the model name followed by "II." For example, "Stainless II," "Pro Carry II," etc. A Series I will not have a "I" after the model name.

In addition to the II on the slide, you can check the frame by racking back the slide and looking if there is a push rod next to the disconnector.
