Well, I finally joined the ranks of BHP owners. I originally went into my gun shop and put a BHP practical on layaway, but when I realized that I may want to have a mag well added later I went back and got a MK III instead. It costs a lot more if they have to strip and re-chrome a pistol when you have something like that done.

The MK III is NIB and cost $542, which I guess isn't too bad. I saw on another forum where a guy had a BHP for sale and said something like "it has the hard to find "511" prefix" on the serial number. My serial number starts out 511, so what does that mean? Just wondering.

Stephen, I'm embarasassed to admit it but I don't remember. I'm not 100% sure if it was FN or Browning. But I think it was Browning. I've looked at quite a few the past couple of days and all the ones that I really paid attention to were marked Browning.
