I just bought a Stainless Mil-Spec last night, my first 1911, and my second Springfield. (The other is an XD9 sub) I'm afraid I may have started a dangerous addiction. I took it straight to the range and was quite happy with the results. After putting 100 rounds through the Mil-Spec, I picked up the XD9 subcompact and I had to look twice to make sure it didn't say Fisher-Price on it. It felt very light and tiny after handling the full size 1911. I love both of these pistols and am a real Springfield Armory fan.
