IDPA Gun Question

I would really like to build a carry gun with a hybrid compesator. This of course would be IDPA nogo. However, I believe competition is good. Builds some proficiency. Would I be allowed to compete anyway, just not rank? Or would it be beet it, yer football is no good on our playground? Thanks for any insight.

I think it would depend on the club hosting the match.I personally would not see any problems allowing that gun to compete.

Sanctioned 'official' matches - like the Nationals,would probably disallow the gun though.

Some clubs will allow you to play, some wont. Check with your local club to be sure. With the new affiliation agreement letter or whatever it was called, some might more un-inclined than they were several months ago to let you play.
