I am in the market for a new IDPA pistol
probably ESP division. I am currently shooting a Kimber stainless gold match in CDP. I have had this pistol for less
than 6 months and I am getting ready to send it back to them for the 3rd time.Twice I returned it because of loose or defective sights (Kimber adjustable night sights) . And today while practicing I had 2 occasions out of 120 rounds where during firing the hammer went to 1/2 cock. I have $1500.00
tied up in this pistol, not counting mags or holsters, and I with out a doubt trust my Glock30 more. Well enough of my complaining. What is a good RELIABLE 1911 for ESP division. $1000.00 range

Some STI or Strayer-Voigt are slightly above $1K depending on features. For that level money you should expect hand fitting of a production pistol.

Get an STI Single Stack in 9x19 and all will be well in the world. Order one from SV today and it might be here in a few years. Although SV has (maybe) a better product, they take forever.
