Hi,
An HK rep called me back (within 5 minutes of leaving a message...wow) and said they can only import the SL8 (civvie G36) with a thumbhole stock.
He said they are unable to make a rifle-stocked version and have it imported into the states because of the AW ban.
This is confusing to me, why would it be OK to have a thumbhole stock imported, but not OK have a traditional rifle grip stock (like M1A, Ruger Mini-14) version imported? It makes no sense.
