What's the best way to improve the trigger pull on a Hi-Power?

I just purchased a MK III and was wondering if its better to spend the $200+ dollars for a smith to do it or can I drastically improve the trigger pull simply by changing the trigger, firing pin, and hammer springs to lighter ones?

I'm no expert, so I'll just repeat here what I've heard before:

1. Remove the magazine disconnect, or, if you don't want to do that, polish the small square area where the mag disconnect hits the top front portion of the magazine body.

2. Replace the trigger return spring with a Mk II model.

3. Don't bother with a C&S sear/lever. requires drilling the frame.

4. If all else fails, send it to Kurt Wickham or Jim Garthwaite for s duty job.

And of course you realize by now that a BHP trigger can never be made to feel like a 1911 trigger.
