I took three friends to a range last week and brought with me a couple of pistols for them to sample. One was my 18 year old Hk USP in 40, and the other was my Les Baer Custom Carry (circa 2013).

We had a blast shooting steel, and even ran a few side-by-side competitions on the steel targets....needless to say, the Baer shot flawlessly, and even let us rank amateurs take some shots at the large sized steel plate out at 100 yards (and not miss too badly). No converts over to the cult of the 1911 yet, but we definitely had a good time....

FYI, any of you California residents who happen to be in SLO, stop by the range on highway 1....they are super friendly, mellow, and welcome all shooters of all skill levels. Good fun....

They'll come around. Just keep them shooting that Baer.

It's such a sweet shooter....how can they not? I'll definitely keep plugging away with it....it's too much of a thoroughbred just to sit around and only be dry fired....
