Is Red Dot still good ?

A relative of mine gave me two pounds of Red Dot, it's been sitting around for about 15 years. Is there any way to tell if it's still good besides loading a few rounds ?
I was wondering if I weighed a large charge and compared it to known good dry charge and see if it absorbed any moisture ?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
