Must be fairly new as this is the first time I've seen it.

I use SS pins, soap and water myself. Unless you only have 400 pieces for brass and shoot those 400 rounds when you go to the range, you don't need a dryer. Just put them on a towel and let them dry overnight - two days if the humidity is high - and reload some other brass.
