in the area of beavertail to frame blending?

My buddy bought a NIB PM7 in 10mm and loves it.

when I held it, I noticed the frame was not blended with the curve of the beavertail.

I called DW and they said for cost savings, they do not blend.

Just wondering of those who fixed themselves.

This is actually typical for a factory pistol, versus a custom-built gun.

it kind of irritated me so i dremelled mine down just a tad....

Not sure I buy the argument as to keeping costs down...if you're going to CNC a blank into a frame, surely you'd have to program the cuts for the tang, why not program in a better fitted shape ? Kimber and Springfield (more or less) seem to manage it.
