I am new here but know that SA Champions were discontinued about 10yrs ago. I am looking for a stainless steel Champion, and if it isn't possible is there a way to make the new version (RO Champion) close to the stainless steel color that the older model had? I fell in love with the bright wood grips on the stainless gun and I cannot settle for a parkerized finish Lol. it would be used with a leather holster.

Your best bet will be 400-grit polished flats and hard chrome to get RO Champion look shiny. Alternative is buy Ronin 4.25" and hard chrome slide only, which will save you on the polishing and if you don't mind aluminum frame.
I personally like 4.25" Colt commander type Ronin.
