Anyone have a load for hunting javalina with a 1911?

Back in the 60's I hunted Javelina in Pumpkin Center and Jakes Corner before they turned it into a recreation center. I used a Winchester .308 for the primary reason the closest you ever saw one was 100 yards or more. I did have a 44 mag with me as well.

Although I know one way for sure to get within range that you could use a sling shot, take a dog, Javelina love dogs

I'd figure any 230gr JHP would be fine. Personally I like the 30-30 best for javelina. Open sights, shorter over all length, great brush gun. Accurate for javelina upto 100 yards.

Don't forget about 45 super!!! They're great for anything that 10MM and low41 mags can do. Tracy
