Was in my local gun emporium yesterday afternnon, after attending a really poor local gun show (where the main items for sale seemed to be moldy military surplus canvas items and beef jerky). Anyway I expected the usual fare, but there on a shelf I saw a strange looking 1911. A Kimber, with a tactical rail! He had just gotten it in. A TLE RL II. Anyway, I own a Springfield TRP Operator (a massive 1911 to say the least) so I gave in to temptation and pulled out the plastic and now I have to spend this afternoon at the range.

The TLE RL II is all black, rubber grips, 30 LPI checkering on the front strap (so much nicer than the 20 LPI meat grinders on my Springfield) with Meprolight Tritium night sights. Really crisp trigger with virtually no creep or overtravel.

Can't wait to try it out.
