Hello,

I just sent my Tactical Custon (Anodized Alum Frame) into the Kimber Custom Shop for the installation of an Ed Brown Beavertail with the memory groove. This will require refinishing of the frame after it is radiused to accept the safety.

Anyone have an Ed Brown safety installed by the Kimber CS? What were your impressions of the installation? Good/bad, etc??

Just wondering as I had sent my former 1911 (S/S) right to Ed Brown for the work, but had to send this one back to Kimber because of the refinishing that is required.

A few years ago I had the Kimber Custom Shop install an EB grip safety on a SS Custom. The safety was fit perfectly and looks perfect also, The price was also good.

I think I'm going to have it done too, but I want to get a magwell fitted and blended at the same time. Does the Kimber shop do a good job blending magwells?

I had one installed on a CST. My local smith did it.
