Has anyone made successful modifications to the Kimber factory mags to prevent damage to the feed ramp and or frame of the alloy frames?

I replaced all of the Kimber followers in my mags with Wilson followers. Seems to work better, no chance of gouging, but I do get an occassional FTRTB when feeding the first round when changing clips. I am thinking that the 7 round spring is too compressed. Does not seem to happen when loading 6 rounds. I also have 1 mag with the taller 6 round follower in it and it will not do the same thing.

I just got some Wilson Mags in, a couple 47DCs and 47OXCs.

They look top notch.

I have personal experience with the 47Ds, they are smooth and work great.

I highly recommend Wilson mags....especially if your going to stake your life on your gun. I think it worth the price of two good Wilson mags.

I replace the springs and followers in my UC and Custom Target mags with Shooting Star conversions (7 and 8 round respectively). They work perfectly with the increased capacity. The mags have many hundreds of trouble-free operation.
