I recently bought a Kimber 8 round "TacMag" for my SA Milspec, and I think only used it once. Today I loaded it up with 8 SXT's and when I sort of half-azzed stuffed it in, it didn't want to go the last quarter-inch. I removed a round and it clicked in nicely. Now I'm worried it might be a bad idea if I just went and slapped it in if it won't fit willingly. I can't remember if I loaded the full 8 last time I used it or only 7 out of habit. Is it pretty common for some 1911's to not like the 8th round loaded, or should I just slap it in?
