Hi everyone, this is my first time on here. I have a friend who wants to sell me his Kimber Grand Raptor II. I don't know much about this gun (Grand Raptor II) and it would be my first 1911. Would like to know the Pros / Cons. Thanks.

The "Buy it now" on the above gunbroker link is good. Probably his secret minimum also. Nothing carries or shoots like a 1911. While I prefer the original series Kimbers the only particular thing I don't like about this pistol is the adjustable rear sight. I find them uncomfortable for carry inside the waistband. If it's going to be a range or outside carry gun they should be no problem for you.

The unique thing about the GR II is the adjustable(target) night sights and the ambi safety. It adds function to a truly beautiful pistol. Mine was well used when I bought it 9ergo the idiot mark) I added a mag well to mine and some VZ grips to make it the consummate BBQ Gun. ;)

Thank you all for your input. I think this Grand Raptor II is a pretty 1911 and like with everything, there is some type of maintenance to make sure it will work for you each and evey time you need it to. I just wanted to hear from some of the Grand Raptor II owners what they like or didn't like about this model. Again thank you.
