One of the first things, I did was to purchase a spring kit with barrel bushing setup for my officers model.

Do all the kits require altering the slide?

The gun is a mint enhanced 80 series version, I would really hate to grind away part of the slide to get it to fit! :(

Any advice? I assume all kits need this alteration? (with flgr and rod bushing?)

Thx

I have seen a replacement plug that requires no machining in the Brownells catalog, but it reduces slide travel a bit; don't know if it's a critical amount.

The Clark reverse muzzle plug is only sold direct now. He's in Louisiana so I hope everthing is OK with him. I have this on my Officer ACP with the stock recoil spring setup. Closed front plug. A drop in. I wish it was checkered, it's plain finish.

As noted it slightly shortens the slide stroke, but I've encountered no problems with it.

I put in an Ed Brown muzzle bushing at the same time. It a tad thicker.
