Own a DAAO version. Best bargain gun in 45 to date. Super feed reliability. Ruger made a huge winner with this one. The grips are very slim (although slick). Much better buy than a Glock 36. Not as thick as other Ruger autos. Nicely fit and finished for a $350 gun. Combat ready out of the box. Maybe a minor sight adjustment to the left or the right, based on teh shooter. Cannot go wrong with a P97 these days.
I own a manual decocker model 97, and I agree with the others: It's a great, reliable shooter for the money. The only thing is that it is somewhat difficult to purchase additional 8 round mags for it. Not everyone carries them.
