I am interested in installed laser grips on a Compact CDP.

I see that Kimber sells lasergrips on their site and on the
Crimson Trace site it says that Kimber is going to be
installing them on certain models from the factory.

Does anyone know if Kimber sells a cut down right side
safety to clear the grip?

I'm hoping that if they don't, the custom shop will sell
me a spare right side only safety lever that I can cut down
myself. Any recommendations on how to to finish the
cut so it looks good? Fine sandpaper for a matt finish?

I believe CTC recomends an Ed Brown safety. I am hoping Kimber will release the Kimber Logo grips for purchase for those of us with Kimbers already and that want to install CTC grips.

The CTC literature that comes with the grips comes with a good discussion and recommendations for that issue. Not haveing an ambi safety on my CTC equipped gun, I do forget the particulars.

BTW, I was able to fit the thickest shims Brownells sells under the Laser grip should that be a question in anyones mind. Gives a much wider and better grip for me.
