Bradford,

I've had this problem, sporadically, when using the Springfield mags. It appears to be mag specific and goes away once the mag is used a bit.

I bought some CMC Powermags for carry and haven't had a single problem when using them.

Hows it going Bradford? It happened to mine too. It definitely is the mags. I Bought 2 Wilson mags and the ejection prob is gone.

Thanks and all of you are right!put 100 rounds through it sun.and when it jammed [only once]I saw what was going on .Top half of the shell was caught in the slide-bottom half was stuck in the mag. What does this mean?weak mag spring?unable to deflect the shell if it bounces in the ejection port?

Is the jam an empty brass casing or an unfired round of ammo?
If the jam is with an empty casing, sounds like an extractor/ejector issue.

If the jam is with an unfired round, that may be a weak mag spring.

There seems to be a rough spot in the mag, sorta like a dimple on the follower I think its called that looks like it needs to be filed down, also it could be the spring, but dont take my word. But the brass was getting caught in my mags because of that one pertruding part.
