I like to see before and after picture of what people do to their GI and Mil-Specs. Everyone has their own taste on how things "should look".Yes I know some dont like to dress theirs up. I did and am happy with my results other than the amount of $ it took.

rough before (new grips, polished barrel hood)

As of today. The EGW HD extractor was fitted by me (excellent part), as was the safety when I installed a C&S 5 piece drop in set.

I've been working on this one for a while and have a bit more to do, but figured I'd post a few now and when it's done post some more.

I don't have any good before pics, sorry.

I've also done a better job on the beavertail on my Colt, thanks to this forum.

Again, she needs more work, like the safety overhang, all done. When it's done I'll post more.

Thanks very much! Sorta a safe queen - I have only shot it once since I have it refinished. ummmmm not sure why I did it now, just I wanted something other than parkerized - and it had gotten a little scuffed up!

I installed all the internals, and fitted the slide stop, thumb safety, beavertail, MSH and magwell. Springfield Armory did the rest.

Sorry...don't have the "before" on this Mil Spec (you can see one above in this thread), but this is the "after".....some work to the frame and the conversion of my Mil Spec to a dedicated .22 (Marvel Unit 2) for thime being.

Be safe, shoot well.
