Longer or shorter

Is the barrel in the .45 Commander the same size as the Officers model? Is one longer than the other?

If I recall correctly, by Colt's nomenclature and specifications, Commander model has a 4.25 inches barrel and Officer model has a 3.5 inches barrel.

I guess that is something I should have known being that much difference, I have never held an Officers Model though. Thanks.
